Accreditation

Gordon Private Hospital is fully accredited by the Australian Council on Health Care Standards (ACHS). The ACHS is an authorised accreditation agency with the Australian Commission on Safety and Quality in Health Care.

Accreditation is public recognition by a health care accreditation body of the achievement of accreditation standards by a health care organisation, demonstrated through an independent external peer assessment of that organisation's level of performance in relation to the standards.

Gordon Private Hospital meets The National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards, a mandatory set of standards established by the Australian Government for all public and private hospitals. Both hospital and staff are measured against eight overarching standards and many different criteria, including patient care, medication management, clinical handover, infection control, complaints management and falls prevention.
