Quality Framework
Gordon Private Hospital is committed to delivering safe, effective, patient-centred, timely and efficient care to all our patients. We strive for continuous quality improvement across all services of our hospital.
Our framework structure consists of four key elements that are necessary for the effective improvement of the quality of care we provide:
Governance, Leadership and Culture;
Community and Consumer Involvement;
Competence and Education; and
Information/Knowledge Management and Reporting.
Clinical Governance
Clinical Governance is the system by which the governing body, executive, managers, clinicians and staff share responsibility and accountability for the quality of care, continuously improving, minimising risks, and fostering an environment of excellence in care for patients. It requires all individuals within the organisation to have accountability for safe and high-quality care to individual patients, management and the community. It is a way for everyone working in our hospital to understand their role, share responsibility and be accountable for ensuring clinical quality and safety. We actively and continuously seek patient participation and feedback to design and continuously improve our services.
Our clinical governance framework revolves around:
Clinical risk management;
Clinical effectiveness;
Effective workforce; and
Consumer participation.
